I have a cold today.
The students have been telling my host mom (the english teacher) that she needs to take better care of me, as though it is her fault. ha ha! Their concern was very touching though. They saw me and said...Jami, are you sick? Oh, no! Do you have medicine? You need to rest. Very sweet.
I guess, as Ana told me, they told her it was her fault because she scared me about the stove-heater in my room. It is a gas heater, propane, andI have to light it every night for an hour before I go to bed. Well, the first night, she was worried I was sleeping with it on and woke up in a panic. But, luckily, I didn´t sleep with it on...but, she just constantly reminds me not to sleep with it on or close the door while I have it on, after all it is gas and that isn´t good for you. Anyway...I only use it when I really need it because I really don´t like using it...but, because she told the students about the fear she had my first night...they think because I don´t use it all the time...I got too cold and got sick....again, cute...but not so...I told them it was simply a change of climate with a combination of traveling this weekend and that it would pass...They reminded me I needed to take care of myself if I was going to travel next week during our winter vacation.
So, this afternoon, I didn´thave any classes, so I came home and ate lunch...I was given a double dose of Kiwi for more vitamin C (which is our typical dessert here), along with a hot lemonade with honey...then, I came upstairs, rested while watching Bourne Supremacy in Spanish. It isn´t quite the same as with English, but it is nice to know the movie so I have a context I know to work with.
Now, Felipe, my host brother, needs some English help. He is the MC for the English Festival tomorrow, so he wants to practice.
Good night!
